Generally speaking, the longest-lasting windows are wood or fiberglass. Wood is particularly durable and can last up to 25 years or more when properly maintained. Fiberglass is also a very long-lasting material, with some estimates suggesting it can last for as many as 40 years. While both aluminum and vinyl windows can be extremely durable and last a long time if well cared for, they may not last quite as long as wood or fiberglass.
